Core Value
We are Kymberly and Elaine Logan! Kymberly is the owner and operator of Logan Aviation with Elaine by her side learning the ropes. Kymberly first opened Logan Aviation, January of 2020 in Oologah, OK. She began the business providing Mobile Maintenance services to both private pilots and other fixed base maintenance shops.
In April of 2021, she made the decision to move the business to Lakin, KS. The new facility at the Kearny County Airport (36K) has allowed her to expand services to meet the needs of the surrounding area.
We are committed to operating our business with honesty, integrity and the best of quality. We are a Family business and believe in treating all of our customers like Family, because in the aviation community we are all family.
Kymberly and Elaine
The passion for Aviation began early for Kymberly.
Kymberly grew up on a small family farm with two grass strips in the backyard. Her father took her flying for the first time at the age of six months in her Grandpa's Cessna 172. Flying airplanes around wasn't enough to keep her happy, so she went to Spartan School of Aeronautics for Aviation Maintenance. She graduated at the top of her class and went on to get her Associates Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technologies.
Growing up in Southwest Kansas, it was only fitting to come home and bring her skills and services to the flying community she grew up in along with inspiring and educating a new generation to pass the torch to. She is active in the EAA community to help educate future generations in aviation and loves to help host Young Eagle events at 36K. She enjoys seeing a child's face light up after their first taste of flight. She enjoys working with the local schools on bringing light to the different aspects of aviation and opening them up to an amazing career path and lifelong passion. Kymberly is also a member of the Commemorative Air Force. Kymberly has a passion to keep our history alive for Elaine and all future generations and volunteers her skills and time to keep them flying.
To continue the family love for aviation, her daughter Elaine's first flight, in a Cessna 182, was at a month old to visit her Great-Grandpa for Christmas at the family farm. She has also started to follow momma's footsteps in turning wrenches or cleaning when she comes to help at the shop!
Callie
Callie came to Kymberly one June morning after being stuck inside the fence at BVO where Kymberly was working at the time. Covered in ticks and nothing but skin and bones, Kymberly fell in love with her immediately!
Since June 2017, Callie has been seen working with Kymberly everyday and has become the official greeter and oversees all work accomplished in the shop.
Tango
Tango is our newest member! He is our resident mouser and does a great job keeping out the riff raff! Tango has proven to be a great set of eyes to make sure everyone is working or finding the infamous dropped screw!
